VISUAL ARTIST / LITERARY ARTIST – Photography, Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Weaving – OTHER VISUAL ARTS: Folk Art Wycinanki Polish papercutting, POETRY

"I consider myself a serious artist whose goal is to be a part-time or full-time established professional artist."

I studied art at SCSU, drawing, weaving, Polish papercutting. I also studied watercolor and have traveled in the US to study arts of the masters at museums. My weaving is done on a 4 harness loom, my papercuts are done on faded paper, in a mirror image patterns some in solid colors and also colored my smaller paper cuts in the Polish tradition, I do cut with a sheep shear at times, but use the exacto knife also. I have taught papercutting at local nursing homes and the local senior center, plus Community Ed. I love to work with charcoal for my drawings and oil pastels are another of my favorite media. I do my artwork at home and due to Multiple sclerosis I limit myself to distance art activities at this time. I started an art group for local artists in the Sartell area, we just get together at my home or theirs to do our art, bringing our supplies with us, a lunch, talk share art tips and have a good laugh. We critique our art and have put on a few art shows locally for ourselves. We pass no monies only support I am always willing to share and have phone calls about art.

Slides, video/audio tapes, or a brochure of work available to look at if requested.

I have marketed myself as an artist as follows:
Presently I have art displayed and for sale at the Make a Memory Flower shop in Sauk Rapids, MN I have few pieces shown on the site. I have a small gallery area in my home.

I have taught art classes/private lessons for adults/students. I have done teaching/demonstrating in a school setting. I have acted as a Juror/panelist for arts grants/competitions. I have done commissioned work.

I would be interested in selling my work at art fairs.
